What is NOT in this Wiki?
Content that:
- would not benefit from collaborative authoring
- is not expected to change often
- express opinions of a single person or closed group
- ask questions that are intended to provoke discussion
For example, articles do not belong into Wiki, and instead have their own section in left navigation menu pane. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's) ask questions, and so have their own section.
What is Wiki?
Wiki (or "Wiki Wiki Web") is a collection of web pages, with important differences from "normal" web pages:
- Every registered user can edit any page
- A history of all changes is maintained
- No specialized tools are needed to edit pages - just login, click on "Edit" button, and start editing
- No knowledge of HTML or other page layout syntax is needed. Instead, a simple "Wiki" rules are used, and buttons on top of the edit page automatically insert needed commands (for, for example, underlined text, centered, italic, bullet list, tables,...)
All of the above results in Wiki being a very efficient content and knowledge collaboration tool. Or, as Wikipedia puts it:
A Wiki enables documents to be written collectively (co-authoring) in a simple markup language using a web browser. A single page in a Wiki is referred to as a "Wiki page", while the entire body of pages, which are usually highly interconnected via hyperlinks, is called "the Wiki"; in effect, a very simple database.

How to use Wiki?
- You can browse top-level pages listed above, which will in turn lead you to many other interlinked Wiki pages, just as on a "normal" web site.
- Use Search box provided on top of left pane navigation menu to search for specific topic, both in this Wiki, and in other sections of this web site.
- Under the Wiki menu item, there are several options that can help you navigate this Wiki
Contribute!
Success of all OpenSource projects depends on its contributors. Helping with content of this web site, and this Wiki, is one of significant ways to help
Aubit Project to achieve it's goals. Read more about other ways to contribute on
Project Info page.
Most important benefit of Wiki is to share the knowledge - by enabling documents to be written collectively (co-authoring). When you see a page with incorrect or missing information, fix it! When you think others can benefit from knowledge you have, either add it to an existing page that matches the topic, or add a new page if the topic is new. If you want to express your opinion, share your experience, or review a product, submitting an Article may be a better choice. Find out more on
Aubit web site page.
When done editing, click on Save, and you will instantly become a Published Author, your Karma will improve, and you will feel fantastic!
